RDS Skate Supply held a Block Party/Contest out in front of the skateshop.
This was a low key contest that only had 3 obstacles. Some great skating went down on a ledge, flat bar and a wedge ramp.

Skull Skates sponsored a Halloween event at Leeside Skatepark.
The event was the first time that this many skaters shredded the skater built and Lee Matasi inspired skatepark. It included Marc Tison and Barry Walsh from Quebec. Cory Klim, Gary Harris and Jeff Logan were the locals to watch tear this rough skate park up.

Every Saturday after the Labour Day weekend, the Jaks Skate team host a great skate jam at the China Creek skatepark in Vancouver, Canada. This was a really fun day of skating and celebrating. This may explain why the video is a little shaky.

The Second Annual Beef Under The Chief skateboard contest was sponsored by Stuntwood Skateshop, Circa Combat Division, Sector 9 Longboards and many others. Skaters came from Vancouver and Whistler to compete. The contest format was 2 qualifying runs, 2 final runs, followed by a 5 minute jam. The first wall rebate was in effect and the crowd called for a few.
It was a great time. The MC, Steve Lange, did a good job of organizing a skateboard contest. Which can be like herding cats.

Last summer The Boardroom held a contest at the Lonsdale Skatepark. It went of without a hitch. The whole community was out with bands playing and skaters skating. I am looking forward to next year’s contest.

Antisocial Skate shop put a mini ramp in the middle of Main Street in Vancouver. It was part of a Main Street Business Association Block Party. A ton of skaters showed up to shred in the sun.

The 2010 Olympic Winter Games are coming to Vancouver. There is a buzz of construction and destruction all around.
For a lucky few this resulted in a rarely skated pool in a downtown motel being open for a session. We hope you enjoy this quick hit at a short lived pool.

This winter was cold and snowy in Alberta. Many days were -20 degrees celsius or colder. Thankfully the skaters there have three indoor skateparks to choose from.
We start in West Edmonton Mall at the West 49 skatepark. There we see Nathan Popik call 5 tricks with 5 tries at each.
Then we head south to Red Deer and skate the Vertical Edge Skatepark
