Vans Roadblock 2011

Vans Shoes sponsored a contest between 4 skateshops in Vancouver, BC.

They shutdown Granville Street and had a contest where each shop brought its own obstacle. Every shop team would skate the obstacle for 10 minutes and the judges would award $1000.00 to the winning team on each obstacle.

Creature Skateboards Bowl Contest

Underworld Skateshop put on a Bowl contest in the summer of 2011. Creature Skateboards was the major sponsor.

Some great skateboarders ripped the park. Adam Hopkins and Riley Bowland battled all day to see who would take home the top spot.

Main Street Mini Ramp by Antisocial Skateshop

Antisocial skateshop put a ramp on Main Street Vancouver, AGAIN! Some extra fun was had by the local Skate Hockey enthusiasts.

Halloween at Leeside skatepark

Skull Skates sponsored a Halloween event at Leeside Skatepark.

The event was the first time that this many skaters shredded the skater built and Lee Matasi inspired skatepark. It included Marc Tison and Barry Walsh from Quebec. Cory Klim, Gary Harris and Jeff Logan were the locals to watch tear this rough skate park up.

China Creek JAKS contest

Every Saturday after the Labour Day weekend, the Jaks Skate team host a great skate jam at the China Creek skatepark in Vancouver, Canada. This was a really fun day of skating and celebrating. This may explain why the video is a little shaky.

Antisocial Ramp On Main Street

Antisocial Skate shop put a mini ramp in the middle of Main Street in Vancouver. It was part of a  Main Street Business Association Block Party. A ton of skaters showed up to shred in the sun.

Thanks to Seb and Michelle for making the Block Party that much better.

Hastings Skateboard Hockey

This episode takes us to Hasting skatepark for some ripping by Steve Denham, John Ramondo, and Gary Harris.

We take a break and go to Railside skatepark in Port Coquitlam for 5 tricks in 5 tries with Adam Cassidy. This time Craig Williams calls the tricks for Adam to try.

We return to Hastings Skatepark to watch the Sunday Skate Hockey.

Eastside Pride

In the episode we go to China Creek and skate one of the oldest skateparks in North America.

It has gone through some changes and needs a resurface. The locals love it and have fought city hall many times to keep their skatepark.

Then We go to Matt Blouin’s and skate the fridge ramp. Matt Fazackerley goes for 5 tricks in 5 tries on it.

The Sweatshop

The Sweat shop is a small indoor skatepark in East Vancouver. Once a month they are host to Grilled Cheese, 40’s and Game Of Skate.

This is a fun contest with a simple aim – have fun. Brendan is a great host. He handed out grilled cheese to everybody. The 40s were only handed out to winners of  SKATE.
